1. Remove the cover.

2. Remove the Diskhaler® cartridge by pressing the sides inward.

3. Place the treatment disk on the white rotating wheel.

4. Slide the cartridge into the Diskhaler® case.

5. Turn the disk until the figure 8 can be seen through the window.

6. Holding the Diskhaler® completely flat, lift the cover panel of the case to pierce the two sides of the shell. Once the shell is pierced, close the cover.

7. Exhale and bring the Diskhaler® to the mouth, making certain that the mouth is not covering the air holes on the sides of the mouthpiece.

8. Inhale through the mouth as quickly and as deeply as possible.

9. Hold your breath as long as possible to a count of ten. If any powder remains in the shell take another breath, hold, and exhale.

10. Before the next inhalation, pull the cartridge in and out again. Repeat steps 6 - 9.


CARE OF A DISKHALER®

1. Remove cartridge and wheel.

2. Clean any remaining powder away using the brush provided in the rear compartment.


Cue Words

1. REMOVE the cover.

2. ADVANCE the disk to the next dose.

3. HOLD the Diskhaler® flat.

4. LIFT the cover panel to PIERCE the shell.

5. CLOSE the cover.

6. EXHALE, then SEAL LIPS around mouthpiece.

7. INHALE QUICKLY AND DEEPLY.

8. BREATH HOLD for 5 - 10 seconds.

9. EXHALE.
